Times and dates play an important role in many key features of Conferences i/o, and admins can customize the experience for attendees by configuring event dates, time zones, session dates, and session times.

Overview
The Event Date in an app provides the date context for all of the session date and time settings. When specified, session dates can only fall within the event date range. For example, from July 10th to July 12th will only allow session dates to be set to July 10, July 11, or July 12. This setting is optional, and when left blank will allow sessions to be created for any date.
The Time Zone setting specifies the time zone that every time is listed. For attendance tracking duration to be calculated accurately, it is important to ensure the time zone setting matches the actual time zone of the event. In the event of a misconfiguration, the time zone setting can be retroactively updated.
The Session Date is used primarily to organize the app's schedule of sessions into a chronological order, sorting past events into a separate category at the end of the list. Like time zones, this setting can be retroactively changed. This setting is optional, and when left blank will sort the session under a generic Sessions grouping in the dashboard schedule list. The Sessions group will be listed before past events, but after events with a session date in the present or future specified.
The Session Time is used to determine the constraints of the session's time. Conferences i/o uses the start time of the session in order to allow access into sessions with restricted entry time. Similarly, the end time of the session is used when automatically unlocking session evaluations.
