Poll Blending is a useful way to look at results of one Poll through the eyes of another Poll.

Please note that the Poll Blender can only be used with two multiple choice polls.

NOTE: This article assumes you are using our Presentation Mode (browser-based solution). If you are using PowerPoint instead, click here.

In the image below we've blended two Polls together:

Poll 1: Which of the following social media platforms do you use? (mark all that apply)

Poll 2: Are you a male or female?

By blending these two Polls together we are able to see the breakdown of male vs. female use of each Social Media Platform. The results below show us that more females use Twitter and Pinterest, while males are using LinkedIn and blogging, etc.

You can setup Poll Blending in presentation mode before your live presentation begins (before attendees respond to polls) and the results will populate in real time (during your presentation).

You can also use Poll Blending for data analysis after a presentation is over. The choice is yours.

HOW TO SETUP POLL BLENDING

First make sure you have created two multiple choice polls.

Step 1:
Go into your session. Ensure you are signed in as moderator. Click on session settings and click "Presentation Mode (Runs in Browser)"

Step 2: Click "Add Live Content Slides (Polls or Q&A)". Note: this assumes that you've already created a presentation.

Step 3:  Scroll to the bottom of the page to the section labeled "Poll Blender".

There are two concepts, a Demographic Poll, and an Outcome Poll. Blending will show you how each Demographic responded in the Outcome.

In the Poll Blending example at the top of this article, the Outcome Poll was "Are you a male or female?".

If instead we chose the Outcome Poll to be "Which Social Media platforms do you use?" this is how the Blended results would appear.

Step 4: Choose / click on the blending option that you want to add to your presentation.

Step 5: You will now see your blended poll added as a new slide in your presentation

Step 6: Click "Save" and then click "Start Presentation" to view your results
