The following system requirements are needed for the installation and use of the Conferences i/o PowerPoint Add-In under Windows:
- Microsoft Windows 7 or newer
- Microsoft Office 2010 (PowerPoint 2010) or newer
- Local Windows Administrator permission is needed for installation.
NOTE: During installation, a folder will be created under C:\Program Files called Conferences.io. Registry entries will be written under HKEY_CURRENT_USER and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE as part of the installation. For PowerPoint, a COM add-in will be put into place and enabled to load at startup within PowerPoint. As a result, a new menu called "Conferences i/o" will be shown inside of the PowerPoint program.
PowerPoint 2010 or new is required. If you are using an older version of PowerPoint, we recommend using our first-generation solution.
Note About Presenter Laptops: We *strongly* encourage that any laptop that will be connected to a projector to show poll results should be connected to the Internet with a wired connection rather than a wireless signal, to help ensure the most reliable result for both presenters and audience members.
